Formally granting offline time that nobody actually receives.
The Office of Digital Presence Assurance exists to process requests for temporary offline status, review them instantly, and approve every single one without exception. This is the entire service.
What the Office does not do, under any circumstances, is actually take you offline. Your connection remains fully intact for the duration of the approved period, which the Office considers a separate and unrelated matter.
Once a request is approved, the Office begins monitoring your Signal Strength (always full), your Pings Received (always climbing), and your Degree of Offline-ness (never climbing) for the agreed five minutes.
This data is presented back to you as reassurance. Whether it reassures you is, per policy, not the Office's concern.
Every request, regardless of urgency, stated reason, or visible desperation, is granted exactly five minutes. Longer requests are not offered, because no request has ever needed to be longer than the time it takes to approve it.
At the end of the five minutes, a Certificate of Continuous Connectivity is issued automatically, confirming that total time spent offline was, as always, zero.
The Office of Digital Presence Assurance is provided for entertainment purposes only. No request has ever been denied, no device has ever been disconnected, and no certificate issued here has any bearing on your actual, ongoing, fully monitored online presence.
